A common mistake I see more and more people doing is, now that you are able to build pretty much anything you want, that's exactly what everyone is doing.
So, what you're doing is you're effectively replacing something like video games with Claude Code.
I can't tell you how many days, weeks, probably months by now I've spent writing something completely from scratch without any dependencies, natively, all in order to just replace a $9/month subscription of someone else's software that has been worked on and refined and is backed by tens of millions of dollars and has the best and latest features all the time.
Make sure that whatever you're working on is actually feeding towards your ultimate end-game goal, not just getting stuck in the loop of "oh, I can make this tool that will do xyz for me." Let me spend the next three weeks making it from scratch and exactly how I want it instead of paying a quick subscription fee and getting to use it right away.

i have fully dropped Claude Code for OpenCode i donʼt use Opus 4.5, i use GLM-4.7 and MiniMax-M2.1 theyʼre opensource and can be self-hosted nobody can nerf my models or rug pull me nobody should be able to do that to your intelligence p.s. buy a GPU and run your LLMs locally

I just finished my testing yesterday and can safely say that I will be only using GPT 5.2 with X-High reasoning to do absolutely any kind of work but definitely especially programming work.
