It's easy to discern when someone who is in psychosis or manic or whatever you want to call it is bullshitting when it comes to mathematics because you can very easily check if they are right or wrong. But when it comes to more complex subjects and of course if you add a stronger veil of authenticity and composure, a.k.a. you're a good actor, you can really push this aura of confidence and pseudo-understanding of whatever it is the person is rambling about. That's where you get things like gurus or cult leaders, politicians, or just famous people in general. As long as you are a method actor, so to speak, you can get away with a lot, especially when there's no direct approach to refuting your statements. A perfect recent example of this is Terrence Howard. And funnily enough, he's still speaking in these sort of quasi-mathematical domains, but of course, there's no real direct calculation that he's making. It's more so ideas. It's more so words he's memorized or silly things like these calculator tricks he does in public when he's speaking or reciting so many digits of pi. It's really a show. It's like a carnival show. But to really sell it, you not only have to be so confident, you also have to trick your own self, your own being into believing. So that's where these terms of psychosis or mania come from. You personally go crazy, and that's where this unforgiving confidence comes from. It's truly interesting to see, and I wish there was some sort of vacuum experiment of outlining and proving these types of people wrong, and seeing how they react. What happens when their reality of self-confidence is shattered? What would happen if you would take this person from this video and truly made them understand, hey, you're completely wrong on everything. You have no idea what you're talking about. What would happen to this person mental wise?

i had a team member a long time ago that only knew how to push updates to git, and all their commit messages were just the word "update" and nothing else granted, he was one of the best on the team. funny how that works. sometimes i wonder if maybe he did know how to use git but just found it a waste of time
