From the way Codex employees do resets and talk about efficiency in their models and being prepared for the future, it sounds like they don’t have issues regarding subsidies anytime soon Anthropic will/is and we can already see what they’re doing re that
let's say subsidies are over, what's the upper limit of how much you'd pay for a codex/claude plan that currently costs $200 be honest.
Agreed except with the last part Forcing human equity onto protocols that would see benefit in every metric if they were to be agent-only is unnecessary The human equity comes from the human - agent - protocol pipeline
feels like a good time to seriously rethink how operating systems and user interfaces are designed (also the internet; there should be a protocol that is equally usable by people and agents)
nothing excites me more then FEELING a new model, especially one that is totally unlike and better than its predecessors, GPT 5.5 and today's the day excited.
people are forgetting GPT 5.x is half the price of Opus, let alone comparing it price<->intelligence to Mythos pricing nowhere in the same ballpark OpenAI has won a long time ago
If Spud is really good, could mean a big gain for Codex over the next weeks. The Mythos aura farm may have cost Anthropic the lead.
imo this is like skills but for normies (which is a GREAT thing for adoption, not saying this in a bad light) hard to get across workflows with skills when working with a company easy to package up an _ assistant that has 10 skills particular to its role and let it have at it
Introducing workspace agents in ChatGPT—shared agents that can handle complex tasks and long-running workflows across tools and teams.
Another W to OpenAI 2026 is the year OpenAI becomes true to their name. Open source harness, ability to use the subscription with whatever you want given its codex app server / oauth capabilities that work out of the box. OpenAI is no longer able to be mocked as ClosedAI.
Interesting shift. These highly subsidized subs are out there to get your code to improve their models. If you use AI for things useful to you, but not code, you are not valuable to them. reddit.com/r/SillyTavernA…
This is true, and quite a problem to solve for @RockstarGames GTA VI Can you imagine the model capabilities by the time they roll out GTA to PC? Easily top 5 problems game developers need to figure out this year https://t.co/HWYdIxZRNO
By the way, we are now in a world where all software distributed to your computer is effectively open source We finally have The Ultimate Disassembler The future rocks :)
Consistently, without exception, here is the pattern: 1. Anthropic vibe codes some new idea and releases a janky version of it (Claude Code, MCP, Skills, Computer Use, Cowork) 2. OpenAI takes a few months (weeks nowadays) to release a 100x better version of Anthropic's slop
openai's acquisition and full speed ahead development of @AriX and his team of Apple ecosystem engineers will go down as one of the (many) reasons why they are winning and will continue to win if you haven't tried the latest Computer Use from the Codex app, go. feels magical.
yeah the latest computer use feature from the new codex app is a much bigger deal than slopus 4.7 once spud / 5.5 or whatever they call it is out, it's over you'll always have claude boys but openai has won and will continue to win in the ai race, mark my words
codex computer use is so much better than claude's its not even comparable
IMMEDIATELY regarding Opus 4.7 you can see one huge key difference: it now loves comments within code with dumber models of the 2025 era, this was a detriment to code quality as a whole maybe things have changed now with the general intelligence being so much higher we'll see!
one thing to keep in mind is that opus 4.6 is ~2x price of gpt 5.4 gpt 5.4 being on par / better than opus in benchmarks i think we'll see 5.5 increase that gap of price/intelligence even further, unless mythos really is some magically cracked model optimizer with opus 4.7

Many sightings of Opus 4.7 in the wild, it's looking like today is the day. If it feels like this is too soon, that's because the last Opus release was only 73 days ago. Let's call it Mythos-induced acceleration. Today was also the rumored release day for Spud, aka GPT-5.5. Not … MoreLess
Not sure if we're still getting 5.5 today though, the latest rumors say it's been pushed to next week. Both of these models will be part of the new wave, and head-to-head comparisons of their similarly sized versions will matter a lot to people who spend their time thinking about this race.
I've seen at this point hundreds of Anthropic accounts banned Yet to see an OpenAI account get banned
Been using Claude Code for quite a while. This morning I even got a “Claude for Open Source check-in” survey — happily filled it out. A few hours later… my account got banned.

2020's are for ~solving intelligence labor, 2030's are for ~solving physical labor (robotics) no one can predict what 2040's will look like because of these two reasons; it clears out two pillars of what defines humanity, our advantage as a species long ways til then, though!
every decade has a thing 2000 → Social Media 2010 → Crypto 2020 → AI 2030 → ???
HUGE for so many companies. So excited for these next years, further exciting me for what things will look like by 2030.
Bring your own environment. The Agents SDK now supports sandbox execution with providers including @Cloudflare, @Vercel, @modal, @e2b, and more. Keep files, credentials, and execution state in your environment while passing approved context to the model.

FINALLY.
Video generation is now live on OpenRouter! One API gives you access to the top video models, right alongside your text, images, audio, embeddings, and reranker generations. Watch our human-generated launch video:
reminder that the only reason the left and right panels exist is because of context switching and result verification both are solveable so we'll end up with only the middle part, nothing else aka we'll just talk to a single interface and everything else is to be solved for
Just realized I have at least 4 installed apps that look almost exactly like this

the only reason you should have /fast mode on in codex is if you're running massive parallel runs and speed truly does matter because it blocks your main agent from continuing 5.4 xhigh has gotten SO FAST on default speed that using /fast is just burning your money/usage
first part is true last part is wrong when it comes to what is to be meant by spot no one can catch up to openai every day the gap widens the race is over has been since 2025 last few months just confirms it https://t.co/BLa3PvzUHw
Anthropic is likely at its zenith Public perception has peaked It will deteriorate from here on There is an empty spot up for grabs

If he feels like this about Opus 4.6, wait until he finds out about GPT 5.4 xhigh
Doing comp sci research with Opus 4.6 Extended (here, in the context of an upcoming Verse programming language theory paper) is really a Flowers for Algernon moment. It's a superpower, like having a team of graduate students that can answer questions on demand on any topic.
Much better than not releasing a model because "it's way too dangerous; we're all still using it within our company though; we're also giving it to certain friends and organizations" Give everyone The Ring, else those select few will surely find ways to reason not to Sam++

interesting how all the people that have thus far called AI useless, waste of time, autofill, etc - now in a single day they switched their tune re. AI hatred to "look at how bad it is {bad now being used as evil here instead of 'quality' bad}, this is going to cause ruin"...
amazing post for so many reasons: - this has been true up until mythos - because this has been true, and those instances are surely now part of the world view of mythos, - mythos now does this canonically without needing that directional nudge of the past misAnthropic as always

by that time they'll have an npm package called 'mythos-patch', you run it, it oneshots your entire repo/monorepo into impenetrability

gpt 4.5 is a bad example here because it was useless other than for some half decent prose upside for slopwriters again, if this mythos model measures up to even half of what is being shown it's capable of, price does not matter here

Anthropic: "We do not plan to make Claude Mythos Preview generally available" A big line, buried quite deep. Possible reasons? So many, inc: 1) The model is expensive (25/125), not far off GPT 4.5, which became commercially unviable. Less likely, given the claims about Mythos. 2) They genuinely are worried about unleashing cybersecurity choas on the world. 3) They don't have capacity to serve it at scale yet. 4) They will quickly distil the early access outputs of Mythos into a lighter model, so no need to release the bigger model when a more cost efficient one coming imminently. 5) Other. Not read the 250 page report yet, but will do.
I love this joke every time a new model comes around with "muh security!!!" essays and ID verification walls but if you've been paying attention, this one is different

And just like that, everything is being ~solved in 2026 >Anthropic's Mythos ~solving code generation >OpenAI's ImageGen v2 ~solving image generation >Seedance 2 / Veo 4 ~solving video generation >ElevenLabs v3 ~solving voice/effect generation >Sora v5.5 ~solving music generation
So @TimJDillon could make a full podcast episode every single day instead of per week, and it STILL wouldn't be enough to cover what's been going on/what's going to happen next
Great idea no matter how you look at it. This will start to shut up the braindead anti-AI folks, at least for starters. Every human should have a stake from birth, I'd go as far as to say a right, in the ever growing and evolving ecosystem of technological progress.

so cool to see people finding out about modafinil/armodafinil, l-theanine, etc i wonder how much longer until they find out about piracetam, oxiracetam, nootropics in general really takes me back ~15 years ago when i was in high school buying all this stuff online lmao
if you're not spending your time upgrading your repos/your clients' repos to be less and less dependent on... dependencies, you're ngmi (nor will your clients) every single package is an attack vector ESPECIALLY when today's agents are so trigger happy with updating to latest

alright my prediction was for 2027 but it is increasingly looking like 2026 is the last year using dependencies is a good idea if you're making serious software rn, the worst investment you can make is dependencies
🚨‼️ BREAKING: PyPI package telnyx has been compromised by TeamPCP in yet another supply chain attack. The malware executes immediately upon importing telnyx. It drops a valid WAV audio file and runs an executable embedded within the frames.
