It really seems from what I'm reading that no matter what Zuckerberg does, his image is forever tainted and no amount of goodwill now will bring him back into positive opinion.
Which I disagree with for what it's worth, but that just seems how it is.
day 7/365 - completely reworked model caching and added favorites. instant loading, drag & drop organization, everything exactly where you want it
watch how it works ⬇️
day 6/365 - added custom provider support to systemsculpt. one click to set up local AI models
watch me go from zero to chat in 60 seconds ⬇️
who would have thought that on mediums with little to no moderation regarding freedom of speech, these would become the best and most accurate long-term forms of ideas?
i mean... does anyone have more data about the world than Alphabet? youtube, maps street view, GOOGLE (the search engine)...
it really seems like Google will win this all in the end unless someone beats them to it, which seems less and less likely each day
@_tim_brooks
DeepMind has ambitious plans to make massive generative models that simulate the world. I'm hiring for a new team with this mission. Come build with us! boards.greenhouse.io/deepmind/jobs/… boards.greenhouse.io/deepmind/jobs/…
day 5/365 - making model selection smarter. organized by pricing tiers, sorted by capabilities, with quick visual indicators for what each model can do
plus: first alpha drops jan 8 for patrons
watch how it works ⬇️
day 4/365 - built audio transcription that's so meta i fed yesterday's video back into systemsculpt to analyze its own explanation. right-click any audio file, instant transcription + chat
watch how it works ⬇️
when API for @superwhisper ? @neilsuperduper
dev log day 3/365 - built custom ai personalities. turned a general ai into an ml research specialist that actually understands neural architectures
watch the before/after difference 🧵
just added instant context to systemsculpt - right-click any file and start chatting. pdfs, audio, images, even entire folders. handles everything automatically
day 2/365 ⬇️
hello @TheGregYang !
arrow key movement for images throughout a chat, as well as D for Download on the currently opened image, would be amazing adds!
it's so cute to see so many people getting into their archlinux + nvim + terminal-only setups. i remember those days fondly 10+ years ago
and i mean it when i say cute, i love it that it's becoming mainstream now, so much to learn and OH SO FUN
starting today, building systemsculpt in public. one video every day in 2025, showing you exactly how I'm making ai note-taking and PKM better
just dropped the first one ⬇️
if you're using cursor only for coding, you're using it wrong
Happy New Year! 🎊🎆
May all your New Year’s resolutions continue through successfully throughout the entirety of 2025.
now that i think of it, Anthropic waiting til after the New Year to release Sonnet 3.7 or whateverthefuck - THAT'S a power move
"ending as king of 2024, starting as champion of 2025"
funniest comment i've read this year hands down
@CoachDanGo
@bryan_johnson Hash brown because it's almost the end of my 30 one hashbrown a day experiment.
finally got my hands on devin
LMAO HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
honestly i'm shocked @AnthropicAI hasn't released anything for an end-of-the-year thing. only 2 days left... @aidan_mclau
Unironically, LLMs.
The speed of iteration pretty much 100x’d. especially with the more sophisticated math models o1/o1 pro.
@emollick
Whats causing the seemingly rapid improvement in humanoid robotics all of a sudden?
The funniest part is going to be that they will be so agile, people who will want to knock them over or deface them… won’t be able to
They’ll be too mobile / self-correcting for any actual damage apart from maybe motor oil + sand + black paint, gunfire, etc (ACTUAL damage)
@IterIntellectus
i feel like most people are not prepared for millions or even billions of autonomous humanoid robots to start walking around in the next few years things will be very different from what they are today x.com/dhanushisrad/s…
i mean, we all understand that the only way to combat this, is to find a cure, right? there's no "regulating" this, or fixing this, you're not "fixing" microplastics
we can only create some sort of "cleanse" or cure once health detriments become more severe

tldr; openai is restructuring to become a public benefit corp to raise more funding for agi, while boosting the nonprofit's resources for charitable work.
goal: balance profits, stakeholders, and mission "to ensure agi benefits everyone".
so we're getting ClosedAI and OpenAI.
@OpenAI
OpenAI's Board of Directors is evaluating our corporate structure with the goal of making a stronger non-profit supported by the for-profit’s success. Our plan would create one of the best-resourced non-profits in history. openai.com/index/why-our-…
today we got an open source (nearly) free sonnet 3.6 / o1 level (surpassing them in some instances)
deepseek v3 finishing off 2024 with a nice loud and long whale call
zuck yelling at his team rn about deepseek v3
wow, @warpdotdev's new Next Command feature is a HUGE speedup, it's really accurate, even accounts for all of my aliases and randomness in my everyday workflow
"this is the worst it will ever be" i can't imagine how this feature will blossom in the next updates. 10/10 already
openai search vs grok search
and you're still using something other than grok search?
imagine what grok 3 search is going to be like
cc @teortaxesTex @TheXeophon @gengjiawen @elonmusk
you ever stumble upon a very niche piece of the internet, see unfathomable things going on where people are obsessed about some specific thing, and wonder "how do these people make enough money for them to have so much time to spend arguing about these things?"
this is what o3 is doing rn in case you’re wondering
@tszzl
my strong belief is that you can scale the most clunky piece of shit algorithm to agi and beyond and then ask it how intelligence actually works and realize you built a massive 40’s style ugly vacuum tube mainframe and the asi patiently explains that transistors exist
After almost 10 years of not using Reddit, I decided to create an account there today and see if I’ve been missing out on any alpha in my interests
One word answer: NOPE
I wonder if OpenAI is using o3 to sift through o3/o3-mini safety testing applications 😂
Current programming king to this day. 6 months of uncontested domination.
So now they can use o3 to make o1 as cheap as sonnet 3.6 right? RIGHT?!
This is the scariest tweet I’ve ever read. Good scary, but scary.
@polynoamial
We announced @OpenAI o1 just 3 months ago. Today, we announced o3. We have every reason to believe this trajectory will continue.
GPT 4o = first oh
GPT 4o mini = second oh
GPT 4.5 oh = third oh?
LMAO
Ok so finally a Sonnet 3.6 competitor, yay!
@sama
ho ho ho 🎅 see you tomorrow
OpenAI vs. Google vs. Anthropic
circa ending of 2024
they realized that the audience they were pandering to with limitations/restrictions weren't using their releases to begin with
@skcd42
what changed with Google. They are literally killing it with the releases
"judge me not by my youtube recommended slop, but by my x for you page"
-me
holy fuck @XDevelopers @elonmusk COOKED with this new For You algo update. it's amazing now, best algo ever, so much alpha on my timeline now from randos (that I now follow!)
i'm in a mental dilemma;
- if openai doesn't release gpt 4.5 or whatever (their response to claude's sonnet 3.6 current dominance), i'm bearish on them
BUT ALSO
- if anthropic doesn't release something to outperform o1/an even better sonnet 3.6/opus 3.5, then im bearish too...
My wife just called LinkedIn, "link it in". And from now on, that's how I'll pronounce it too.
sometimes when I use gpt-4o by mistake, the response feels worse than what I'd have expected back in the gpt-3.5-turbo days
We still make beautiful things, they’re just so small you need an electron microscope to appreciate their structural beauty
@thegenesisbl0ck
We used to create such beautiful things, now we make rap songs about drugs and pu$$y.
yawn... another day where grok @xai completely mogs chatgpt search
The GOAT does it again.
@kepano
Thanks for reaching out. Do you mind if I share this email on social media to gauge the reaction from our community?
Still the case to this day
I gauge this by which model I use for writing and coding in Cursor (without doing the usage-based pricing BS regarding trying to use o1 models in Cursor)
So yeah sonnet is still king
@Teknium
Cant believe OAI has let sonnet 3.5 be the best (not inference scaled, but even that in many areas) model on the market for so long
2025 is the year Google and @OfficialLoganK brutally mog everyone else
