sonnet 3.5 is like opus, that's all. no noticeable improvements over opus.
that being said, that alone is big.
Singularity will happen in the future maybe earlier.
@Devgymsetvfx
Singularity will happen after 2030 maybe earlier.
sometimes i dive deep into a twitter thread to the point where I go "holy fuck, this person exists and believes all this shit" and it feels so doom-ery, only going back to coding problems cleanses my mind again
runway gen-3 seems sora level tbh
until the customer has no idea they're talking to an AI, this will never be able to replace actual workers taking an order from the drive through
basically it needs to pass an auditory turing-like test
@xlr8harder
McDonald's drive through is highly optimized and metrics driven, and this indicates a real failure to optimize the process with AI. On the other hand, models are improving every day. AI order taking will be back. x.com/axios/status/1…
nothing worked for putting me to sleep until I figured it out - listening to 3hr interrogation videos, uncut. i fall asleep within the first 10 minutes
@nico_jeannen
@levelsio I already use melatonin 3mg and magnesium, it works but if I’m too stressed/anxious it don’t really help And I also keep waking up at 4AM, my body don’t want to get more than 7h somehow, apparently CBD helps
if you once tweeted something similar to what I just posted, you should link that tweet in the replies, that would be so hilarious haha

i had a team member a long time ago that only knew how to push updates to git, and all their commit messages were just the word "update" and nothing else granted, he was one of the best on the team. funny how that works. sometimes i wonder if maybe he did know how to use git but… Less

granted, he was one of the best on the team. funny how that works. sometimes i wonder if maybe he did know how to use git but just found it a waste of time
@theo
I still can’t fathom how saying “you should learn git if you want a job writing code” is controversial

i don't think people understand how easy it is to just make things
you can literally think of some process that you do throughout the day, whether it be talking about something you're passionate about or walking outside or just dicking around on your computer, and you can find a way to monetize it effectively in millions of different ways.
and yet people don't do that because of some sort of limbic friction that they experience, or they're stuck because they think that their time is better spent doing non-action items such as watching another billionaire guru explain to them why they need to take five cold showers a day
i have yet to have a meeting that couldn't have been solved through a DM back-and-forth (which i can then reference afterwards to make sure i get everything word-for-word, literally)
i dont see any benefits of having meetings other than the illusion of productivity
@ash_lmb
A quick call can turn into a long fall from productivity. 😆
you dont need to pay $100 for parallels bloatware, you can just use UTM instead. literally no downsides
@tekbog
i just need to lock in and cook
ok but I seriously don’t know one person who will be voting for Biden (without the “he’s the lesser of two evils!” argument).
even those who hate Trump with all their being - they’re not voting this election, they tell me
easiest way to see if someone is in the same plane is to tell them "you can just do things". if they argue no and give you their reasonings as to why, they're not on the same plane
i literally cannot think of one thing that i "can't do" it just takes prep + plan + execute
@yacineMTB
it really feels like i'm in a double world. most people don't live in the same plane of existence as me. like, most of the people around me in ottawa. it's just wild to know what's coming down the pipe and for everyone around me to not believe me
ok I have 4 more shitposts to go today, waiting for something interesting to comment on, give me a min
all the people in the comments saying "bro u just have to xyz" or "it basically never breaks for me" don't understand end users at all and only think with their nerd brains, not general consumer brains
my mom has been using a macbook for 10+ years. the same one. never fucked up
@falconerd
I used Linux for 10ish years. Up until 2023 Your whole system shouldn't break on automatic updates Your WiFi and Bluetooth should just work People aren't gonna use it until these things are fixed
ban “what do you notice” from your timeline. you’re welcome
it's insane to me that openai doesn't train their models to be experts in... their own openai api documentation. it should know everything about every single part of openai, but it... doesn't
so disappointing
obsidian's @kepano is such an aesthetic, omg
i used to be many-files pilled but now im becoming more fewer-files pilled
HUGE OPEN AI NEWS THIS MORNING! i heard from a top secret source (a random tweet in my for you page) that june 6, today, openai will release something big

he's the guy that theorizes that whatever you believe will happen after your death will happen (atheists will cease to exist, Christians will go to heaven/hell, Muslims will be greeted by 72 virgins... yeah, that too) - basically his argument is that your core most true beliefs create the next reality for you after death; you write your own story, basically
and apparently his theories have a bunch of proof to back up his claims
he's based but nothing world-altering has come out of him. maybe we'll read his theories in a couple hundred years like we read thoreau today
guys what language is this and what does it mean
don't worry, ~3 more shitposts and i'm done for the day, i'll be back again tomorrow, bear with me plz
damn, i lost so much respect for all these actors, whether they meant the words they were reading from a script or not. no amount of money would make me be this cringe
@RichardHanania
2015 called and wants its cringe back.
all of my problems would go away if i had 70 more IQ points
never deleting this app
first time i'm seeing this in chatgpt. ive been using gpt-4o for free ever since it released, havent paid subscription for it (I use API mostly anyway), but today I see this
new gpt model coming soon? and they're just introducing these wording/ui changes?
ok time to make my own OBS from scratch I've had it with the global hotkeys randomly not registering after like 10 minutes
saying "skill issue" is just a cooler non-corny way of saying "sounds like a YOU problem"
+ kefir.
@imabearhunter
Steak bites and eggs, what you drinking with this?
if AI can do your art and writing, then you produce slop, so might as well outsource that to the AI so you can find something you're better at
@AlexGPickering
Indeed.
Remember anon, Pride is a Deadly Sin.
I’m pretty sure this company and all its members are all just an elaborate troll and soon they’ll release a “nah, we’re just fucking with you guys! hahaha, got ya!” blog detailing the entire process of creating this satire piece and how it speaks to Silicon Valley culture

hey @fortelabs you need to get this before someone else does
To all the people losing their minds about the new mini-brain-with-eyeballs machine scientists are using to calculate millions of times faster than on silicon - wait til you hear about what abortion is
This internet stuff is so embarrassing. It's letters on a screen. We had books for thousands of years. They're getting all this money ad making all these deals beacuse they changed what they call a "page" (now it's a WEBpage).
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH WTF LMAO
@GoogleAI
#ChatDirector is a research prototype that brings 3D avatars and automatic layout transitions to your 2D laptop screen, transforming online meetings to be more immersive and dynamic. Check it out → goo.gle/3yBDuY9
take a look at this entire thread and all the comments. this guy is a literal giga chad.
"the noise is noise. i removed it. no, you don't need it. no, you're wrong. nope."
@lookoutitsbbear
@usrbinishan not only does it convert back losslessly it also has the noise removed
remember when openai employees said that the announcement that was gpt-4o was going to be "bigger than gpt-5"? lmao
vimium and @homerow_app are all you need

anyone who thinks gpt-4o isn't better at coding = skill issue
the state of CNN lmao
we need 1TB RAM macbooks ASAP
reality is somehow worse than prediction in this case
usually because they're using disgustingly bitter and overly acidic low quality coffee grounds to begin with. so the only thing they can do in order to gulp that shit down is drown it in sugar
@imPenny2x
I don't understand why people ruin their perfectly good coffee with sugar.
